Mediation is an important alternative to litigation, providing solutions to disputes by working with both sides to help them reach an agreement. Mediation is now mandatory in several classes of workers’ compensation claims, and can serve as a more efficient method of resolution than a hearing.
Derrick Williams and Andrea Roche have mediated hundreds of cases throughout the Carolinas and have extensive experience in both workers’ compensation and other civil mediations. Derrick Williams was responsible for creating the regulations making mediation available for workers’ compensation cases in South Carolina. Andrea Roche was one of the Commissioners who voted to approve the mediation regulations.
