Prior Hunt is an associate attorney representing clients in workers’ compensation and a wide range of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle collisions, dog bites, premises liability, wrongful death, and other serious injury cases. Licensed to practice in both North Carolina and South Carolina, he is dedicated to helping injured individuals and their families navigate difficult legal situations with confidence and clarity.
From a young age, Prior always knew he wanted to be a lawyer. Before attending law school, however, Prior worked as an electrician in his hometown of Morganton, NC—an experience that shaped his practical, client-centered approach to the practice of law. Having worked in a physically demanding profession, he understands firsthand the impact an injury can have on a person’s livelihood, family, and future. That perspective continues to influence the way he advocates for clients facing difficult circumstances.
Prior earned his undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University before obtaining his Juris Doctor from University of South Carolina School of Law. During law school, he was a member of the ABA Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal and received a CALI Award for excellence in Estate Planning.
Known for his approachable and client-focused style, Prior believes strong attorney-client relationships are the foundation of effective representation. He understands the stress and uncertainty that often accompany legal matters and is committed to guiding clients through every stage of the process with compassion, responsiveness, and dedicated advocacy.
Outside of the office, Prior enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Melaina, and their two active dogs. They can usually be found at the beach or binge watching the latest true crime series.
